if golden state warriors trade baron davis, troy murphy and mike dunleavy to minnesota for kevin garnett. would golden state, with KG and jason richardson be able to make the warriors better and how far would they go in the playoffs? how would they compare to the nba's top teams? i think this trade should happen, its reasonable for both teams.

Golden State should trade Mike Montgomery to Minnesota.

Mike Dunleavy is the most overrated player in the NBA

"i think this trade should happen, its reasonable for both teams."

Are you kidding? Kevin Garnett will not go anywhere, and if he does, look for him to put on an Eastern Conference jersey. As much as you may want to see it happen, Garnett will not be a Warrior next season.

I find it funny during the offseason how so many trade rumors that make no sense for some teams start surfacing. A few years ago on ESPN message boards a bunch of Pistons fans were getting excited about a trade for Shawn Marion. Firstly, the trade wasnt even in the rumors, a fan made it up, and secondly, why would you even think it could happen?

Never post your own trade thoughts. Thats why your not the GM. I wouldnt, and the Timberwolves wont, trade Garnett for that overrated, underachvieing package.

That wouldn't leave Golden State with much of a supporting cast though, and this is going to be Garnett's 11th season so he's no spring chicken, Andres Biedrins looks like he might be a player, and Ike Diogu might contribute some but unfortunately the Warriors are in the Western Conference where it's harder to get into the playoffs compared to the East. I think this trade would bring them from 33 wins to maybe 40-42 in that range.

I'm a Warrior fan, and I think that trade would at least put them in the playoffs. Baron Davis will never play a whole season, and last year rookie Monta Ellis showed what he is capable of. I hate to lose Murphy, but you have to give something to get something. Dunleavy is a bonafide bust, we should have got rid of him a long time ago.

Randi B makes a good point. That trade for Kevin Garnett is stupid, they wouldn't trade KG, and your basically trading alot of crap players for an all-star player. Not worth it for either team. Bad trade. They probably wouldnt go that far, but maybe playoffs?????

its 2 late in kg's career to do anything, he would b a good mentor and teacher for j rich, but they wouldnt have a supporting cast nor would they have enough cap room 2 sign fre agents. if tht did happen, they still wouldnt b a playoff contender, 2 many western teams r better than them and 2 many r still on the rise (aka okla hornets, sac kings)

i dont think that KG would go any where and i dont think that minnesota would want KG to go anywhere. KG doesnt play for money, hes one of the players that play for the state, and for family. Everyone loves KG and KG loves minnesota wether they suck or not (T-Wolves fan for life)

I think it would be a good trade, I don't think that either team would make it to the playoffs, sorry,

Golden State is absolutely pathetic and I don't think there is anything that could honestly help them.

They would go far even though KG is weak and overrated, but they would still lose to the SACRAMENTO KINGS
