While comparing the education and experience of these two groups, we
should also remember that President Bush and his cabinet are briefed daily, even
hourly, on the War on Terror and threats to our security. They are privy to
information gathered around the world concerning the Middle East, the threats
to America, the intentions of terrorists and terrorist-supporting
governments. They are in constant communication with the CIA, the FBI,
Interpol, NATO, The United Nations, our own military, and that of our allies
around the world.

However, the Yahoo liberal retards on Answers simply believe that they have full knowledge world event, the threats, and the economy because they watch CNN!!

My *** you went to Yale. I've read some of your idiocy. But then again, Yale did give a scholarship to a Taliban killer, so maybe you did go to Yale, but we are no longer impressed.

Nice way to defrock the myth the liberal elitists have about their intellectual superiority.

You compared SOME of the Hollywood actors, not all, to the Bush Administration and their briefings on the War in Iraq. This makes no sense. Of course the actors cannot get the same briefings. And I don't know about the other Liberals here, but I do not get my information from Sean Penn or Sarah Jessica Parker. Britney Spears is a Bush supporter...are you proud of that? Just because a political party has a certain number of Hollywood actors or directors supporting it, doesn't mean that the rest of the nation is going to hang on every word they say. You are a complete moron if you do this. And so what if someone dropped out of college? Maybe they didn't like it. Maybe they got a great job opportunity. Maybe they ran out of money. Who cares? Apparently you do because you spent all of that time researching each one of these actors, actresses, directors, and singers. Your argument (whatever it is) is ridiculous.

You would probably consider me a liberal. I'll be the first to admit that the actors you mention might not possess the education required to make sound policy decisions. But then again, none of them have actually asked for the job, have they?

It seems to me that there is a fundamental difference between liberal and conservative pundits: conservative ones expect to be taken at their word whenever they make a point, while liberals encourage their listeners to do their own research, and draw there own conclusions.

Perhaps you could spend a little more time on these liberal pundits arguements? After all, if a fact is true, that a fool speaks it makes it no less true.

Al Gore: Only has an associate's degree

You define intellect by education.
People can be plenty intelligent with little or no education.
And, they can be plenty stupid even with a diploma.
Just look in the mirror...

By the way before 9/11 bush never once met with his counter terrorism advisor.

and here is some fun reading.

That summer before 9/11, all the alarm bells are going off everywhere -- at the FBI, CIA, everywhere. What was happening?

I came back that summer from overseas, and we had heard the year before [about] the millennium threat. There were concerns at that time about planes flying into steeples in Europe. When I came home that summer, I ran into a very close friend of mine who was working at the CTC at the time. He said, "Something terrible is going to happen," and he just can't get anybody to focus on it. He said, "Tenet's been talking to the White House."

Then, by the end of July, he said, "It seems to have gone away." Then in early August, they did the PDB [President's Daily Brief] piece for the president on that. But there was a sense. I saw it in [Deputy Director of Operations James] Pavitt; I saw it in Tenet; I saw it in my friend -- [then-CTC Director] Cofer Black's a very close friend of mine. I saw it in all these guys, that they were desperately trying to get the people to focus on this. This was a real threat.

It wasn't that people were blasé about it. It's just that the new administration had a million different things, and this wasn't what they were -- it just didn't seem to be resonating.

Since when did you have to have an education to be politically active?

Hmmm, sounds like a typical republican elitist to me. Which community college did you attend?

BTW, I went to Yale. I guess I am qualified to speak. And I watch The News Hour with Jim Lehrer. I don't have cable TV.

At least we aren't wasting our time collecting trivia like how much education it takes to star in a TV show. I wonder how much education is represented on Big Brother or Fear Factor?
