yes, she can!!! if she wants to. but if she doesen't want to get married she shouldn't ask anyone.

A woman can do anything she wants. It's just tradition for the man to ask the woman but if neither of you is taking the initiative, you could end up waiting forever. So...either ask or wait to be asked. Your choice.

I agree with everyone else, traditionally it is proper for the man to do it but in this day and age, it is more and more common for the woman to make that move so I would say unless you are a die hard traditionalist, it is fine for the woman to ask the man.

I dated someone who was divorced, and she was the one who asked her ex to marry her. As a guy, I have no problem with a woman asking a man.

yes a woman can ask a man to marry her.I have a male friend, Danny S., ex-marine, and police officer he is now in his 3rd marriage. the first two he asked the woman to marry him this one she asked him to marry her! I think it's been 6 yeras now!

Yes she can but I don't think that I would. I am old school and prefer the man to take the initiative, especially when it comes to marriage. I'll just run things in the bedroom.

I'm pretty liberal minded. I think a woman can push the subject quite a bit, but when it comes down to it I think it comes down to the man getting down on one knee to ask. Even if it's not a question of who 'should' or shouldn't, he may feel bad that he never got the chance to propose to you his own way if you beat him to it.

it sure is okay. my now mother in law made me make her a promise, i'd do anything for her. the promise was that i would ask her son to marry me. i did, we did, and we are extremely happy. he has said since, that he wouldn't have ever asked me, because it's not something that he had ever planned on. other women asked him to marry them before me and he turned them down. so be prepared, it could go either way.

it did not happen to me, but i have to tell you it is nice to see something different, it is after all not the nineties anymore and women are becoming more and more independant every year. i think it is a definite good thing, becides not all men are the asking type, they want to but cant get up the nerve, so someone has to do it right!

I would never ask a man to marry me... and never hint of wanting to get married.. they seem to get allergic reactions either way...
