The news has not gone into the history. It is all about who is bombing who. Maybe I should look it up.

Yes, I have do no the history of Israel (not Isreal). They didn't steal palestinian lands. Many jews who settled in that area after world war II immigrated and primarily bought land from absentee landlords that nobody wanted - much of it nonarable. They purchased the land from real estate speculators - foreign nationals from nearby middle-eastern countries.
Of course, you can go back to the biblical account but who was really there to know how it occurred?
I think Israel has as much a right to exist since they are there and have been there for some time. And I think Palestine should be a separate and the lands allocated as per the agreements.
I suppose we could say all people who aren't Native America should leave the United States because they took the land from the people who were living here as well as Canada and South America. Every single country has experienced these invasions. Israel came into possession probably more fairly than in the case of North and South America - not to mention Africa - and we could go on forever.
Perhaps it's time to stop doing that but for the countries that are here and established - well, that is what it is.

I do not beleive in 'isreal' (sic), but do believe in Israel, one of, if not the only country in the Middle East with a multi-party democracy, free elections where the government can be defeated, an independent judiciary which can rule against the government, a free press, and a system where its citizens can vocally oppose government policy. For this flower to blossom in the pathetic, vile cesspool of Middle Eastern despotism is a magnificent achievement - and remember Israel's creation was approved by the UN before accusing it of theft.
However its recent actions have made it harder and harder for its admirers to remain uncritical. I think it has gone too far in the current conflict, killing hundreds of civilians in response to a kidnapping, and does not deserve the Western support it has been getting.

you really do not know the true story. there never was a palestine or palestinian nation before the overthrow of the jews from their land and a forceful change of the name to palestine. do not think that the palestinians are the same as the philistine. they are not!
i will not bother to try and explain this histore to you but if you really need the truth, check out www.jhm.org. you think Israel does not want peace? the arabs will not rest, even if they are given the whole of Israel.
they built a mosque on the jews holy site, try building a synagouge or church in mecca or medina and see what will happen. the whole cry of the arabs and islam is just hatred. what they do to others, they will kill if done to them.

God promised that the Jews would be returned to the land of Israel and in 1948 this happened. All of the land not just certain areas of it. It is sad about the Palestinians and their loss but they are on the land that belongs to God's chosen people. Like it or not that is the way it is and if the Arab nations continue to try and destroy the state of Israel then God will step in and destroy them.

If the Israeli government divided its' wealth between its' people, and the USA gave them all nationality, they could all leave that part of the world to the Arabs. But then there would be peace, which they don't want, seemingly.

not in its present policy.it is not only stealing land but is in contravention of Geneva convention by stealing natural assets of occupied lands namely the water which it is diverting to its illegal settlements at the same time restricting the "true"owners of these resources as to the quantity they may use, thereby restricting their ability to engage in development of their economy and future prosperity.
