nose peircing question!?

i wanted to get my nose pierced..but i think it wud look better if i get my right side pierced but i noticed everyone has the other side pierced...so wud it be odd? and besides...i have a big nose...will it catch too muchh attention?? i dunno whut to do!

You do whichever side you think will look better. Does it really matter what other people think? It only matters what God thinks, so I say go for it whichever way you want.

I have a big nose, and mine is pierced on the right, and I get nothing but compliments.

People are so busy checking out my piercing, they don't notice the size or shape of my nose anymore, they notice the whole thing, including the stud, and that takes their minds off the details.

Piercings on the left are very popular because they are traditional in some places, so piercers often learn about and practice piercing on the left side. However, there are no cultural practices in the West that dictate one side or the other, so the choice is up to you.

Do have it done by a professional piercer. They know the proper angle, placement, and safety precautions for a piercing. This is especially important because it's right in the middle of your face, and you don't want it to look bad later on, or get infected, which can really cause problems, as the blood vessels are so close to your brain.

Stick to wearing tiny studs; avoid shaped jewelry or hoops, which will draw attention to your nose in a negative way, or in the case of hoops, make it look larger.

The people who are telling you it catches attention don't know what they are talking about. People often don't notice that mine is pierced for a long time after they meet me.

Make sure you pick initial jewelry you can live with for a long time, as it will be in for quite a while as you wait for it to heal. Keep in mind that it can take up to six months for a nostril piercing to heal completely.

I wear a thing called a screw in mine. Sometimes they are also called pig tails. The post is in the shape of a kind of hooked corkscrew, so you don't have to have a backing of any kind, and you don't have something bumping up against the septum (the middle cartilage in your nose). This helps reduce irritation inside your nose, and is more secure than a bone, which is basically straight, with a little knob at the end.

If you are sure you want it done, absolutely go for it. Just remember that it will be on your nose for the rest of your life. Even if you remove it later, after it heals, you will have a little divot scar there, so make sure you are committed.

I have mine pierced on the right side. I thought it looked better on that side. Everyone else I know has theirs pierced on the left. Do what is best for you, just make sure they position it in a good place. And try to get pierced with a needle, I got pierced with a gun and I regret it. The hole seems bigger than I wanted.

No it wouldnt be odd. My mother in law had it on the right side and it looked really nice. She had a lovely diamond. Well, it would direct attention to your nose but so what....be proud of your nose. a big nose is a sign of intelligence. Have a tiny diamond it would look really cute. If you want to do something go ahead and do it dont worry about what others think...be unique.

I got my nose done on my right side because i sleep on my left side. When i got my nose pierced the peirced asked me what side i slept on so he told me that i should get it doen on the other side. I dont think that a nose ring brings more attention to the nose. In my job interviews most never even noticed it and if they did they allowed them.

You should get what ever side of your nose pierced that you want. It really doesn't mean anything if you get one or the other done. It will draw a bit of attention to your nose. I had mine done and then I got a job that wouldn't allow me to wear it so it has since healed. So that is something to consider. Good luck!

Just make sure you have a small stud rather than a huge whopping stone. I had mine pierced on the right side. I didn't want all my piercings on the same side and my eyebrow was pierced on the left side.

i have had mine pierced for quite a while and now that i have been noticing them on people i see both sides done pretty equally, and both look great.

whenever people ask me why mine is on the side that it is, and if it means any thing i just say it's because I'm a lesbian. mostly, i just say this at church.

it doesn't matter how big or little you nose is, it only matters how big your self confidence is, really. it's like having a big butt, if you act and feel gorgeous, that's how people will perceive you.

No really, it looks disgusting and stupid.. take away the 'fashion' statement, and you just look like an idiot.. truely grosses me out.

Reminds me of those rings they put through noses of bulls to keep them tied down.

With a little luck, it'll get infected and your nose will end up looking like that of Michael Jackson.. and the hole might never heal and you'll look stupid 5 years from now, not to mention when you're like 60.

In cultures that traditionally pierce their noses (such as Indian), the right side is pierced (The left side is unclean). If you really want it pierced, go for it, you can always take it out.

i could get my tongue pierced returned, I took it off yet could get it returned. It did injury like hell for some hours and that i saved biting on it yet i do in comparison to abdomen because of the fact each and every physique has that, and that i do no longer wanna be a follower, nostril it injury like hell and that i replaced into bleeding lots so I took it off for interest. Lip, is a eighty's ingredient. and that i've got not at all seen a eyelid piercing. yet i could get a marilyn Monroe piercing nevertheless, looks solid.
