Religion---in some ways, I think there's more openness towards other beliefs but in other ways much more hate.
Life in general---I'd have to say life is more stressful.
Health---most definitely better, lots of advances.
Personal finance--probably.
Education--in formal education probably, common sense probably not.
Family relationships---definitely worse. Family is spread out and too busy to interrelate.
Economy---in the shitter.
Homeland/Political stability---worse than ever.
Recreational opportunities---yes but there are also many more people trying to enjoy the same areas and activities

Religion is about the same. Everything else no. It's the same or worse.
Education is horrible today and has been so since about 1965.
Family relationships, no. Today there is no fault divorce and cohabitation.
Finaance and economy, no. The price of housing and cars has out paced jobs.
In 1965 a new car was $2,000 today it is $8,000.
In 1965 minimu wage was $1.65 today it is $5
In 1965 a house ws $10,000 today it is $200,000.
In 1965 an apartment was $65 today it is $650
In 1965 a candy bar was 5 cents today it is 65 cents
In 1965 a pound of hamburger was 29 cents today it is $2.29 cents
In 1965 a gallon of gas was 30 cents to day it is over $3
Today both a husband and wife have to work or a man has to have a GREAT job or work TWO jobs
In 1975 I had a Blue Cross plan with a $200 deductable and I paid $20 a month
in 1995 they wanted $200 a month for a $2,000 deducatable plan!
In 1965 a pay phone call was 10 cents today it is 50 to 75 cents
In 1965 a phone bill was $7 today it is $60

I don't think so.
Our parents were raised in a way that they learned the value of working for what you get. Being that they didn't want to subject that same torture upon their kids they handed everything to their kids. Spoon feeding them even as adults. It's a pendulum. It took me a long time to learn how to be an adult after I became one.
Now as for this present age. We're heading down hill pretty bad. We live in such a selfish, indulgent society. People no longer care for their neighbor or country but what they can get out of it. So their only contribution is that which benefits themselves. Abortions are higher then ever, crime is increasing, adultery and such is almost a normal thing. Marriage on average lasts 4 years. It's because people only want to live for themselves and do what they feel is good for them even if it crushes those around them. I fore see this getting worse and worse
It's sad and I fear raising a child of my own in a place such as this. School is no longer about becoming educated, it's about surviving through it. So many religions have popped up claiming to have the key to eternity when all it does it perpetuate self indulgence, life has no value other then the women's choice whether it's worthy of living, We make more money then ever before but what does that matter when you can't afford to buy anything. Family is almost non existant and now our kids have the normality of joint custidy, 9/11 proved that stability is merely smoke and mirrors and recreational opportunities invovle beer bongs, multiple sex partners and hurting yourself or others on film to post it on the internet.
So no, we are not better off and it's only going to get worse.

The "baby boomer" generation (if that's what you mean by "our parents") is/was better off financially than any generation before or after in American history. People in their 20's/30's and teens for the most part cannot hope to acheive what their parents did financially. As far as health, the gradeschool generation right now is actually expected to have a shorter life span than the baby boomers. This may just be a fluctuation, and doesn't mean there is going to be a steady decline downward, but for the most part our parents had much more oppurtunity, more financial success, and will have greater health for the duration of their lives than anyone before or after.

i think of that music from the eighty's and ninety's(my era) is alot greater proper, i like the finished grunge flow that replaced into happening . Nirvana and the Pixies are 2 of my famous bands. i like how the main effective music replaced into metallic and rock , because of the fact for my section those are the main suitable genres of music. The music of that era replaced into organic exciting and a assured solid time! Todays music is organic rubbish. I advise justin bieber? .. disgusting. circulate hit puberty back in canada. it somewhat is all trash this is generally gererated on a working laptop or pc that takes no genuine expertise to create. in spite of the undeniable fact that i do basically like the music from the 60's , i nonetheless like ninety's greater proper

most definitely, and every generation has had more than the one before.
If we look back to what was, we can truly say we are very spoiled.
Since incomes have multiplied by 8 times or more since the 1960's I'd love to see that website that says this is the first time in years that the income is less.

Studies show that this generation will be the first to earn LESS than the previous. Unfortunately the Baby Boomers took the eighties too seriously. The 'ME' generation took more than they left for us.
