Check the website of the federal reserve.. they warned that the USA risked national bankrupcy.

The USA has world's largest national debt. Interest adds more to it per day than the whole national income of many nations are the world, including some west european ones.

Also, americans make up only 4% of the world's population, but consume 40% of all of the world's natural resources (among many, oil). Americans consume 7 times more than asians (chinese even less). China's economy is growing rapidly and they are starting to buy up a lot of the natural resources. And the more China pulls to itself from this very limited natural resources, the less is left for the USA, unless they have to pay more for those resources than China, which is getting to be very hard, since China is growing like magic beans.

So, things ain't lookin' so bright for the U_***_A

The deficit has increased, we spent 418 billion on the Iraq War, and it costs 5K just to get a picture with George W. Bush. Gas is heading for $4 a gallon, and unemployment has increased in mid-paying jobholders (although minimum wage jobs are doing fine)

If you don't believe me, watch C-Span

We haven't had a surplus with a Republican Congress since Nixon was president!

When I say ecomony, I mean the economy for the WORKING CLASS

It's absurd nonsense foisted off on young people who lap it up like it's soda pop.

This crowd wouldn't know a lousy economy if it ran right over the top of them.

Ask 'em what the average unemployment rate has been for the last decade or so and what "crisis" was supposed to unfold if it ever went below 5%.

well... according to the census... more and more people are dropping into poverty...

and all of the stats that I've seen the conservatives give are basically stats that are geared toward the well-being of the top 5 percent...

I think overall though, gas prices have increased much more than the tax breaks have given back... and that on top of huge increases in college tuition and health care only means that the numbers in poverty will grow...
