Because we are wired differently than women

Sex is not an emotional thing for men until they are a little older so we can have multiple partners and be just fine with it

I think it's all about a challenge. When they see another woman they wonder if they can get with them or not. It's all about the conquest. Has nothing to do with how much they love their wives--it's a personal issue.

If you are a woman who has a man who is cheating on you, that does not mean it is your fault. It's his problem, not yours. I've found through personal experience that no matter how much you try to make the relationship better, if it is a one-sided problem, it's usually something that's all in the other person's head and there is nothing that you CAN do about it. Look at all the married men that you have known that have cheated on their wives. And look at how a lot of those women have done every little thing they can to try to get the man to stop going astray. But I don't think I have ever seen one instance where that actually did work.

If you are a woman who has a married man wanting to have sex with you, I can't say (because I don't know) whether or not he cares about you. You can never discount the possibility that he does. The biggest test to me is to look at yourself and how people perceive you. I'm around a lot of married men a lot of the time when their wives are not around. They never flirt with the women who are perceived as being easy... They're always flirting with the women who seem like more of a challenge.

The bottom line is that some men (though not all) only care about themselves and their own ego... not caring who they hurt. Every conquest feeds the ego a little bit more. Whether people know about che cheating or not, he feels as though he has done something great. Like "haha, I pulled one over on my wife, and I got some on the side." It's actually pretty immature, but then, the guys who do this type of thing usually seem to have gotten stuck in one stage of Maslow's hierarchy of needs. They will continue to be stuck there until they accomplish whatever is needed for them to move on. Sometimes that means doing some crazy things but the hierarchy and other various models are based on ego.

It's a male ego thing.....
Some men are stronger than others. Then there are the weak little boys that don't take into consideration just whom they will be hurting they only care about what they can get for themselves.

The sad thing is though the same thing is happening more and more with women. They are forgeting their morals and values as well and going out on their husbands.
The committments and vows that people take dont mean anything anymore.
Another VERY popular thing that is taking place is that there are more men these days gettting custody of their children, because the women want to party or want another life than the one they have chosen.

All I can say is that I feel sorry for the children of today...WHAT R we teaching them????
What will the future for them be???

Is NOTHING sacred anymore????

Why do men? How about women? According to the latest stats, about 50% of men cheat and about 46% of women cheat. You females are not that far behind. In fact, I have a feeling that at the rate that it's going, you women will surpass men cheating habits in the next 10 to 15 years. Therefore, since percentages are so close, I think that women should be able to answer all by themselves that old question.

If fact, I don't doubt one bit that more females cheat on men now than guys on girls. The reason we don't know so much about it is because most women who do or have, don't want to be seen as whore or sluts. In general women have more to lose by being seen as a cheater than a guy. I think that the cheating rate probably as always been the same for women, it's just that now they feel more open to discuss it. Similar to gays, is not like there's more gays not than ever before, what it is, is that society have become more acceptance of them.

Crazy diamond your hit the nail on the head, I ditto you.

Most of the men are just selfish. I have a brother that tells me all the time, it is just in him and he needs to stop. He loves his wife and would never leave her.

My question to him is how do you think that would make her feel if she found out. He states, devastated. I asked him, how would that make him feel, his comments were, that is why I try so hard to keep it from her.

Go figure. But now, I think he has a bad situation because he has met a very nice young lady (who is also married) and he has started having deep feelings for her. She has tried to brake it off and he doesn't want to let her go.

Selfish or what.

Because novelty is an aphrodisiac. People think love has faded because the "thrill" is gone, when all that's really happened is you've gotten used to your mate.

Because the idea of breaking a cultural taboo is thrilling. Look at me, I'm so slick, I can do this bad thing and get away with it!

Because the need to search for a mate is hard-wired into all humans, and there's no magic kill-switch for human nature - the best one can hope to do is "transcend" base urges.

And for the record, women get those base urges as well.

First of all, as a male, I can tell you I have never been unfaithful.
To answer your question, many believe that the core instincts of human males surface. Just as in all males of all other species, they are genetically wired to procreate as many offspring as possible. That requires sleeping with as many women as possible, as frequently as possible.
Men produce billions of sperm a year. Nature wants them to spread it around as much as possible. Women on the other hand are born with a finite number of eggs. They can not produce any more. So the theory is that women are protective of their eggs, and only search out men with the greatest assets to share their eggs with, while men dont care.

I guess they get tired of being with the same person over and over again. They don’t appreciate what they have right in front of them and take their wives for granted. That and/or commitment issues…
