go in with a lot of energy and dont be afraid to ask good questions that show you are serious about learning the job.

my first real job was scary as heck but once i started asking questions and taking good notes everyone started accepting me because i was trying to do a good job.

be courteous to everyone, you dont want enemies right away

if you make mistakes(trust me you will) dont make excuses but simply say sorry, ill do better next time, then do better next time!!!!!

be a sponge and learn not only the job but how everyone behaves at the job and then you will know what is tolerated and acceptible behavior

good luck to you

Make sure you know:
1) what time you are to show up
2) where you are to show up
3) the dress code
4) the name of your boss and/or the person you will report to on your first day
5) some concept of how you will handle lunch. (Don't laugh, it can be uncomfortable to eat lunch by yourself on the first day. Often, a new colleague will take you somewhere. Bring your own money. You may want to throw a sandwich, etc., into your bag just in case you get stood up.)

Just give everyone a nice smile. Humility and the willingness to take advice and criticism also helps. Take things one step at a time and dont appear too eager to learn things by asking too many questions.

Start the day with your boss........... every time he talks to you and is showing you what to do........ interrupt him and start talking about your date tonight. Sit on a table with your skirt 6 inches above your knee at the same time smacking and blowing bubbles with your bubble gum. Start asking him about his girl friend and their sex life.

Be sure to smile.
