Animals have feelings but they are much simpler than humans'. Humans have a gut sense of right and wrong. They have consciences. Animals, on the other hand have instincts. And the more intelligent ones, larger mammals, for example, have simple, need based, feelings.

Hard to say for sure; the only one we know for certain does have feelings is Koko the gorilla, because she can actually tell us. When her cat died, her behavior changed dramatically and she indicated that she missed her cat and showed all the signs of going through a grief period. Other animals are harder to read, because they don't communicate with us on a level that we can be sure about -- just because they seem less energetic after a death in the family doesn't necessarily mean they feel grief, because we have a tendency to anthropromorphize them and ascribe human patterns of behavior onto their actions (maybe they're just bored because their playmate mysteriously doesn't come around any more, and they don't understand the concept of death, for instance) Same thing goes for happiness -- perhaps they simply feel excited because they are getting what they think they need, and it's not because it's you who is filling their food dish or throwing the ball. Really difficult to say for certain.

Yes....My Golden Retriever let me know when he was happy sad and all the rest....My buddy's German Shepard, one day I was peeing on the fence, he came over to sniff my stream...so I peed on his face... now some dogs at this point would have a, bit me which I admittadly would have deserved b, ran off c, licked the pee off his face, or in the case of smokey D, he gave me a disgusted look went to my other side lifted his leg and peed on my leg. I laughed so hard you couldn't help it don't tell me animals don't feel emotions, and act out on there emotions.

yes they do. Even if they don`t have the skills to speak or smile, an animal can experience a suffer and you can see it when she/he refuse to eat play or bark. Also on signs like heart beat.
A dog or cat can`t talk to you but there are several studies about the posibilities of having emotions. Of course not like we do but in a certain way

Yes they do. My sister adopted a black lab that was rescued from hurricane Katrina. This dog is terrified of everything. He will on one of the family members shaking like a leaf until whatever is scaring him is turned off our taken out of the room. It is very sad. When my sis went on vacation my mom told her that the dog kept looking out the window for her and crying because she isn't there. It is a very sweet dog.

O-ya.
They have feeling just like us.
They hurt+cry+feel sad, you can always tell if there happy right.
Why would'nt they have any other feeling to.
I always know when our cat's are hungry or sick.
If we would pick one up the wrong way, they cry and let us know if we are hurting them every time, not that we want to do that to them at all,but it does happen.
So the answer to your question is YES.
Take care.
Sharon.

i think they do look at how a dog behaves when he sees his master (his acts happy), and animals act scared alot of times so i thin kthey do have feelings but they just have different ways of expressing those feelings than humans.
