People, groups, countries act according to their ego needs regarless of what they know deep in their spirit, most unfortunately. We have a long way to go to evolve spiritually. Only when our outward behavior gets to reflect the needs of the spirit rather than the ego will we be able to consider ourselves an evolved human race. Unfortunately, not even traditional religions understand this. Each individual will have to realize it by him or herself. It's not the kind of thing people learn by hearing it repeated. Leaders can always plant the ideas as seeds...but the acceptance, the learning, the change, has to come from individuals maturing spiritually. Only then can the fruits be harvested.
