I'm not afraid of lawn mowers. Lawn mowers don't kill those poor innocent lawn gnomes. The people who operate lawn mowers thought....*shudder*.......

I'm afraid of sticking my hand or foot underneath a lawnmower. Or of my children touching the engine or exhaust of a hot lawnmower. But, no, I use a lawnmower and it does not scare me.

A little bit because a girl I sort of knew got her hand cut off by one when her Dad was mowing the lawn and it happened by accident.
She now wears a prosthetic arm. The sound of lawnmowers also annoy me.

Only on weekends if I have to walk behind them. I'm OK during the week, especially if they're riding style. OTOH, I can watch them being used all day long without any fear whatsoever.

I'm just cautious to make sure my foot doesn't get mangled. But I'm not afraid to mow the lawn.
