I went back there at the age of 41 last month and had a whale of a time, much to my surprise!!! I didn't go with high expectations, I just went to spend a couple of hours of escapism (Arrived at 9am and left at midnight!!!). Was great to ride the trams, play penny machines, eat fish and chips and generally forget about being an adult.
Brilliant!

I first visited Blackpool when I was 5 years old, then again when I was 16.
I recently returned and was shocked that it is such a poor relative of days gone by. I did not feel safe at night :-(

For three days in the year it's great.
Easy jet killed the Blackpool holiday.

Known as the golden mile, it is a strip of fish and chip shops, amusement arcades, and people selling rock. I was born close by, and I would avoid it like the plague. The illuminations are ok and a trip up the tower, but a day only. The sea is rough and dirty.

its an absolute dump and only white trash visit it. Its heyday has long since gone and it should be nuked off the face of the planet. I took my young family there about 6 years ago and was horrified at the behaviour of drunken men and women who cared not a whit about baring their bits in front of children. The streets were filthy. That part of england should be ashamed of itself.

Absolutely Fab - the big one and valhalla are by far the best rides I have ever been on!

its a fantastic place if your not serious about getting married as all it seems to attarct at this time in it life s silly men and woman ho want to get there rocks of in a place tht sells rock b4 they get wed,

As far as amusement parks go it is probably decent value for money.

the beach itself is a bit grotty but i really enjoy the funfair its great!
