Kris Kristofferson's version of the song he wrote for Johnny's Cash, "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down." Cash's version is good, but Kristofferson does a better job. The lyrics are just perfect. You can picture the lonliness and longing of this man as he gets up in the morning and puts on his "cleanest dirty shirt" and since the "beer he had for breakfast" was so good, he had another "for desert." You can smell the chicken frying and hear the kids singing in Sunday School....and that haunting ringing of the bell....
