Actually, I'm wondering if it even is my period, because I've hardly bled at all, except during sex once or twice. But I had cramps the day before it started (which is pretty normal for me). Does anyone know if taking a morning-after pill would cause this? I took one about a week and a half ago and then I had cramps a few days later and a tiny bit of bleeding.

It sounds like that pill is what caused it. I have heard that those things have nasty side effects cause they are so strong. Instead of taking one of those if you dont want to end up pregnant, why dont you try using condoms or get on some regular birth control????? Common sense....

yes the morning after pill would cause this... the basic design behind the morning after pill is to cause endometrial sloughing/ menstruation such that your uterus is not a viable environment for the gestation of a fertilized zygote...

of course this could also be an implantation bleed... a bleed associated with the implantation of a fertilised zygote into the endometrial lining... and then you could be pregnant... so I'd suggest taking a pregnancy test to exclude this...

also if you were to be pregnant a bleed could herald some unforetunate things such as a miscarriage (which may be incomplete causing infection and serious sequelae) or an ectopic pregnancy (outside the uterus)... both are potentially serious and require medical treatment...

so take a pregnancy test and exclude the later two as causes

That would be my guess.
