he gets lots of tummy time but most of it all he does is lay his head down and put his arms by his side. what should i do??

Just keep encouraging him. His neck may not be strong enough yet to hold up his head in that position yet. Give it some time and play encouraging games with him to keep trying. He has to learn how to do it too so at his own pace... Good Luck and not to worry! :)

just wait and enjoy this baby time, before you know if he will be crawling, walking, running, talking. Trust me I have 4. All kids advance differently some are lazy and that is there right, they are babies. Be patient and encourage him. If really considered call the health unit.

he will be fine.. try placing a shiny or light-up toy out in front of him.. give him a reason to push up
