Limited short-term weight loss may be caused by the loss of water from the body; however, the typical reason for weight loss is that the human body is losing more chemical energy in work and heat than it is gaining from food. The body then uses its stored reserves of chemical energy, such as fat or protein, to make up the deficit. The byproducts of using these reserves then leave the body, reducing body weight. This process may be triggered by the reduction of the Caloric content of the diet, an increase in physical activity, the immune system fighting off a disease, or other causes (eg diarrhea).

If you still get too worried, try diagnosis yourself:

I kinda went through the same thing before I was diagnosed with Type-1 diabetes. I went from around 195 lbs down to 155 lbs over the course of three months (and I wasn't dieting). Of course I had all the other classic symptoms. You should go to a doctor and get it checked out. Better to be safe than sorry.

If it's a lot I would go to the doctor if not for your height and age don't worry maybe it's your body getting rid of extra baggage. If your not try, not eating regular meals I would be heading to the doctors like tomorrow. Did something happen in your life that may have effected your mood?
