It depends. If it is religious then no. If patriotic then yes but there should be teaching about what it means and not just some empty exercise.

Well, my university recites the Pledge each morning. We are pressured to face, face the flag, and comply with alongside. If we do not the trainer's meant to take features off. Now, in my opinion, I consider that is ridiculous. It's pleasant in the event that they recite the pledge, but when anybody does not wish to, for a few rationale or different, they will not get elegance participation features taken off. It's no longer unreasonable to recite the pledge in a public university, however to do it EVERY DAY and anticipate all people to become a member of in is a little bit severe. I have no idea if this offers you what you had been watching for. I best learn the primary paragraph of the query (heh heh { D ). I simply idea I'd positioned it in the market.

Useless?? You might be missing the POINT of the pledge. This happens with the Constitution all the time - some ppl think it guarantees the right to life, liberty, and happiness! It also happens with Articles and Ammendments. A single word or phrase gets left out - or added in - and the entire meaning of the document comes into question. The POINT of the document is, sadlly, lessened and ultimately just lost.
Take note of the words; for which it stands!
The pledge is very usefull, and has much meaning, to every free living person in this country - just ask a person living in any other country if they want to trade places!

Well, you can't spell, and apparently you can't think either. The Flag is a symbol of your country (you know, the one that provides you rights, protection and services). As long as a country is proactive in working for the betterment of its people, it is worthy of the allegience of the citizenry. The pledge, at least in the United States, is a one-minute observation of the above.
We pledge allegiance to God when we pray.
