Everything you listed is okay to eat but in moderation. Those foods are chancy for anyone and not just pregnant women. The food to avoid is TUNA... the potential for mercury poisoning for your child hasn't been concluded to definetly cause problems, but just stay away from it. Don't eat pork. Hydrate yourself around the clock, drinking as much ice water as you can stand. I have a wonderful book, the publishers also have a wonderful website and the last part of the book (at least 50 pages) has a section called "Is it Safe?" ~ its great~ ! I got the book from Borders, but likely anyone carries it. It is called "The Babycenter Essential Guide to Pregnancy and Birth." Here's the amazon.com link and the link to the site. Congratulations! I have 2 months, 2 days to go! Hooray!

People have been eating whatever is around since the dawn of time. The easiest way to put it is, avoid stimulants/depressent like caffine, smoking, etc. If you want it, like chocolate, a soda, etc- eat just a little, very moderate, get the little 8oz can instead of a 20 oz. Follow the food chart and eat healthy. Lots of green leafy vegetable, take your vitamins (prenatals) and if you don't have them go to any clinic, they will get them to you.

theyre not saying you CANT eat those foods.....they are just not recommending them. I have a friend who drank soda & occasionally ate fast food during her pregnancy & her now-2-month-old son is absolutely fine & healthy. One thing I am sure of though is NO chinese food...due to the MSG preservative commonly found in it.
