You are so right, answerman! Hopefully they got their thoughts together yesterday on their day off and we can be on our way to first place again, were we belong! I'll be at the White Sox game on Thursday rooting for Chicago to win! I want to see just how the yankee fans act at the game and will report back!!

It seems to me that the Sox and their fans are in a bit of a panic right now. There's lots of talk about how the Yankees suck, and how the Red Sox are going to kick their butts the rest of the way.
Meanwhile, when the Yankees were struggling, their fans were quietly confident because they knew that they'd eventually right the ship. There was none of this false bravado that I see from many Red Sox fans at the moment. All that trash talk just makes them sound scared.
This is from the perspective of a fan of neither team, by the way.

As much as I hate the Yankees and want the Red Sox to win that division, my gut feeling is that the Royals will win 2 out of 3 against Boston, they're just playing horribly lately.

i think they will. The Royals came up in our schedule just when we needed it, and we will go in there with some new confidence. also i think that the rest of the guys will start knowing and gelling with newly acquired javy lopez and i think he'll have a good series.
