I like Maggie Shayne, Mary Janice Dickinson, Katie Macallister, Sherrilyn Kenyon. There's others I just can't think of them right now. Hope it helps.

Oh, I have lots of favorites, but #1 would have to be The Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward.

I also like Christine Feehan (Carpathians), Sherrilyn Kenyon (Dark-Hunters), Kim Harrison (The Hollows), Moon Called by Patricia somebody, and Full Moon Rising by Keri Arthur. Oh, and Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, although that's more for teens.

I'm not too into paranormal fiction but love Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse series. The series has both vampires and weres and all of the books have really good storylines and compelling characters.

Another book I recommend is "Revenge Gifts" by Cindy Cruciger. It is a trip. It was super funny. It has ghosts, a vodoo priestess and revenge all in one book. Plus it takes place in the Florida Keys.

I really enjoy Anne Rice's books. There are dark, compelling, but at the same time, almost realistic.
