If this is your first book and you do not have a scholarly or a popular reputation, and if you can't easily find an agent (after all, they all want celebrities and proven authors) you might try micro-publishing. With that methodology you can print as little as a single copy at a time. There have been several articles written on this in the recent past. I've linked to one in Salon of a few years ago.

You could try finding an agent first. Then they will do most of the leg work for you and will probably open more doors than you just sending it off. A lot of publishing houses won't even look at unsolicited material. But, you could also try sending it to some publishing houses on your own with a cover letter. There is a book that I have seen at Books A Million called the Fiction Writers Market. I believe it was about $30, maybe more. It has the name, addresses and all of that for publishing houses and I believe it was sorted by genre. Good luck! I hope you do well!

Firstly, you must have a great book launching press conference everytime, there maybe book signing activities, followed by a small concert with some known stars, with some free books raffled. And a lot more of creative ideas to attract book readers to come to buy your books; magazines, TV, newspaper, internet, book launching on schools, business corporate company, speaking engagement, billboards, banners, T-shirt printing, caps, etc

I study books from Paul Krugman, Robert Reich, Fareed Zakaria, and Thomas Friedman. i'm a liberal and those adult men are all manhattan situations, CNN, or Huff submit. Liberals study smart books by utilising knowledgeable human beings, those books are not almost as exciting of the political puffery of Fox information pundits whose sole interest that's to rile human beings up and fire up anger and worry. See in case you have the fortitude to get with the aid of "the international Is Flat" by utilising Thomas Friedman and tell me the way it stacks as much as the trash you study.

You'll either need to publish the book for free on the internet (the easy way but the poor way) or find a publisher who will have it edited and published onto paper (the harder way but the profitable way).

Get a book called "Writer's Market" You can buy it or it will be in the library reserve section. It lists publishers, what type of material they publish, submission guidelines, and what they pay. Good luck.

Do you have an agent? They are almost essential for mainstream publishing, though you could also self publish through someone like lulu.com
