You should do it as a podcast! You'll need video software fo course, and then you can go to podcasts.yahoo.com for suggetions on goign forward and software to help you along the way. Each week you can post a little video of your exercise routine and discuss yoru weight and measuarements and what you ate etc.

What is your goal for this? Are you hoping to sell the video because of some special techniques? Are you trying to make a movie, similar to "Supersize Me"?

If this is the case, it will help to script out what you plan on showing in a storyboard fashion. If you can get a friend or family member to operate the camera, you'll probably have an easier time than the tripod. Hope you like editing! There are some things you can do on your own and those that you shouldn't because of the time and energy involved.

On a last note, if you are making the video to sell, do you even know if there is a market for your idea? I'd look at that question before wasting time and money to develop something no one wants.

First, get the address of "America's Funniest Videos," because they have shown hundreds of videos, just like you describe.

Nothing funnier than a guy lifting weights without a spotter. How do I know they don't have a spotter? Because the video keeps recording, while the guy struggles and squirms under the tremendous weight on their chest, or, even funnier, their necks!

And these guys supposedly know what they are doing. Othewise, why are they making these instructional videos?

Take some advice. At least hire a spotter. That is basic gym safety, taught at every junior high school P.E. class.

Then again, if you win the $10,000 prize for the funniest video, you can afford to hire a profesional videographer.
