I missed my appointment july 3rd for my depo shot.. In realizing this, me and my husband decided to not get the next shot and try for a baby..
So of course i havnt had a period in 2 years.. So from what the Dr said it takes 3-6 months for the Depro to wear off..
I have already been having cramps ...So I know all women are differner but its possible i can have my period sooner than later..
So my question is this...
How long has it taken for you or your partner to have a period then get pregnant after stopping the deprovera shot..

it took me 1 year to get my period back and 3 years to get pregnant but my sister and law got pregnant 2 mths after getting off the shot so everyone is different but i was on it 6 years

It took me 8 months before I had a period after I stopped taking the depo shot, and 1 1/2 years to get pregnant- though it was only for the last 6 months of those 2 years that we weren't trying to prevent it.(we used the pull out method rather than me be on the pill) I was only on the shot for a year after I had my son.

well i came off the Depo in March and still waiting. I got paranoid thinking i am going through the change of life and hubby and i been goin at it like rabbits . Alas i have been informed it can take upto 2 yrs for the body to return to fertility after the depo. Lets hope fingers crossed for both our sakes this is not the case.

I'm in the same boat you are, my last Depo shot wears off on Aug. 29th.
