record & listen to yourself on audio tape to get an idea of who & what you truly sound like. sing to your hearts content how you truly feel. sing along with other singers (live or on tape) for practice & to get your confidence up. sing at a karoke bar just for fun & don't be surprised at good & bad opinions. just accept it all as constructive criticism for improvement even if it means considering other career goals. start a group. audition for a group. try writing you own lyrics & collaborating with musicians to make the music. try anything you can think of. just sing because it makes you feel good! ask people for their honest opinion & if they say it's ok or not, that's still ok. what's really good is when someone says that they don't know what to think. that's when they are not really sure which means that you are right where you should be. not that good, not that bad & always room for improvement.

Stay in school go to local places and sing maybe at church that's a good start, parks, at talent shows, local coffee shops, at school, hopefully you will have so kind of luck GOD will make a way if it's right don't stop reliving in him. Know what you are doing.Don't do something you will regret in the future..Do give up.

keep practicing and writing songs, then go perform in coffee shops and stuff, there will be scouts and people that work for recording studios looking for talent at those places.
