Why does it seem to be alright for black men to date white woman with no problem, but if a black woman is dating a white man they get mad and upset over it .

They want their black sisters to wait on them. What a JOKE. Black women are Queens and should be waited on. If a man of another race loves your beauty and respects your differences then he does truly love you and the two of you have a real chance at great love. Go for love!!

I'm not a black man, but there are some mixed couples in our church, one of which is a black woman and a white man. No one is upset over it. They are a sweet couple with beautiful children. I guess your question is directed at black men, who seem to have a double standard? I would not worry about what they think. They need to grow up.

Because for some reason, they see it as the black woman is putting the black man down by not dating them. Some black men date white women because they feel that white women are not as critical as black women. We black women tend to complain about every little thing the black man does. (Some of us, not all) Personally, I could care less if a black man or black woman dates outside their race. If your happy with the person that you are with, then I say the hell with everybody else!!!

First off, being a child of an inter racial marriage, I think people should date,marry whom ever they fall in love with or like. Love knows no color!! ~ But I have noticed that Black woman have a huge prob. with Black men dating White woman, not so much on the flip side of White men dating a Black woman thou!

I agree with you, but let's be real. As much slack as they give you for dating a white man, you give just as much when they date a white woman. I honestly think the reason we date outside our race is different. Most black women I know who date white men do it becuase they are dissatisfied with the current state of black men (not having higher educational goals, drugs, violence, low aspirations in general, or white women). From what I've observed black men usually date white women because they see it as the ultimate prize. Or they use that lame excuse that white women nag less. Whatever. It's just sad when even black men value white beauty more than their own... sad...

Because then it's betrayal. As opposed to a brother dating a white woman, then he got lucky. And, he's infiltrated the enemy camp, which means he is now privy to power, both sexual and perhaps monetary.

But if a sister is getting it on with a white guy, she's gone over to the enemy. The guy is now the slave master and she is the house slave. Even if SHE is in a better position financially and socially than he is, that's the way a black man perceives it.

That is how shallow minded people think and look at things (by the way not calling you either of these) I am a white girl and i see no problem in multi race relationships although i know of many who have a problem with it for petty stupid reasons one i hear alot is you have to feel sorry for the children they will get bullied and all i say to this is what a crock of s**t

i wouldn't mind if either of my daughters dated married or just hung out with a different race guy so long as he treated her with respect. that is all i personally want for my children.

if you are in a mixed race relationship recieveing such comments from ill mannered people my advise to you is politely stick 2 fingers up at them and enjoy the life you have..

oh one more thing if you bleed being a black man or woman is your blood different to white people? no we are all the same and as so many say looks are only skin deep why all the fuss over the colour of ones skin???

Funny. I know a white guy that is married to a black woman and black men give them disgusted looks all the time. It can go both ways though.

I have been with my black man for 2 years now...and I still get the comments and looks from black women. He has always made sure I feel that it doesn't matter and it has never bothered me either. I have asked him your question and he has always told me that it never bothers him to see black women with white men, his family has allot of mixed race couples. Maybe some guys feel that way because they are not "living" it. Maybe the family is down on the idea as well so it was taught to him/them. One will never know, racism is racism no matter what color you are.

I don't think that there's a double standard. I have seen black women become very angry and disrepectful when a black man dates a white woman.
