This has only just recently started to happen I cannot go to the log in page for example on my internet banking site. I have removed the pop up blocker with no joy and have reinstalled it, I have also disabled it with no success. There is one strange thing which has just started to happen which is when the computer is switched on and programmes are loading the systems file folder comes up. No idea why if this is linked ?

You have a virus, I had the same problem a while back, use the fully updated norton antivirus that will detect and remove it.

Many financial institutions have begun using much more secure Java scripts for user login authentication. If you're using an older version of Java, or don't have Java installed, you may not be able to login.

You can download and install the latest version of Java from http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp

This should solve your problem. If not, check out the Help or Support or FAQ page of your banking site.

After you run a full virus scan! and you are sure you're java script is up to date, make sure you're active X is up to date as well. If you're running a PC with Microsoft os installed go to microsoft.com/updates and check out the PC for current software updates. You can also go to Tools, in you're browser bar internet options, advanced, and make sure the Active X and Java script are checked
