Don't know whether you're auditioning for print, commercials, editorial work? Just remember, you are the product that you're selling. Keep your look simple and professional, so that your own individual beauty is the focus. Makeup should be natural. Hair should be cut well and styled for movement. Your outfit should accent your silhouette. Nothing tight or sexy, even if it's for Playboy. lol.Your portfolio should show a range of versatility from casual to evening, sporty to professional career woman. The reason being, you may not win this job, but may be considered for future assignments. Make sure you have a headsheet to leave behind. Above all, relax and have fun with it, especially if your interviewing with the photographer. He's looking for the chemistry between the two of you as a team. That's where the magic happens. I'm actually going to a modeling audition today! I'm just dressing it up a little bit and it's my style the way I want so they can see the type of dress I do. But don't go overboard on hair and make up unless that's your typical look. Did they tell you to bring a picture or any resume or anything? It really depends what you're auditioning for that determines what they'll have you do. Get a good nights rest so you're most def. fresh. Good luck!

Make sure you wear an outfit that is as high fashion as you can make it. Look in Vogue or other fashion magazines to see what is really really hot in couture this season. Even though they will probably ask you to change tomorrow, they want to see how well you know what you're wearing. They want to see how much you care about fashion and if it really is your passion. Practice strutting in the highest heels you have!! Tomorrow they may ask you to show you your walk. Maybe, if it's a photo kind of modeling audition, they won't ask you to do that. In my opinion no preparations are needed .Be bold to go in a usual way blooming with full self confidence, & in an appearance, as you are naturally, no body else would be able to be ahead you ,if you say what ever you want, in a very confident way.To be confident, not overconfident, is the key to get success in any field. Really depends on the job that the audition is for. You will be asked for your portfolio. You may be asked to model their clothing. You will be asked to pose for a polaroid that's usually in their clothes and you will be asked to show them your walk.

You'll be asked to walk, speak and will be required to tell them what made you want to become a model. Be prepared to give a mini-autobiography about yourself.

None of those previous answers are true. Modeling Audtions are not that bad. The number one key is STAND UP STRAIGHT AND WALK GRACEFULLY. Thats pretty much it. If it seems you can walk down the runway without tripping, you mostlikely got the job! Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!
