They don't have any oil.
I was just reading an news article about that. It is terrible and they won't let in any humanitarian aid.
It is a 3 1/2 year old conflict and the muslims won the war and then it said divided up the place and started fighting with each other. Rape is a war weapon and these children are taken as sex slaves. They are just little children and they chop off arms and legs if they don't do the disgusting things they want them to do. A mother begging to help her daughter who just had her arms chopped off. Fell at the soldiers feet saying in the name of Allah have mercy on me. Let me go to her. So he grabbed her up and cut off her arms and said ok now you can go to her.
Then we are expected to have sympathy for these people.
How dare us say anything that might hurt there feelings?
Now they want to take over Ethopia.
If that was happening in the middle east the whole world would rise up to protect them. Why is such atrocities ok in Africa.

There are more than only Christians being killed in Sudan. It's a terrible tradgedy. Recently, President Bush sided with Sudan's president, who is considered to party to blame for this genocide. If we are siding with Sudan (we may need their help procuring more oil), then it would be a conflict of interest to show coverage what their government is doing wrong.

I think whenever you see one or two stores getting too much media coverage (i.e. - Mel Gibson), it seems to be a distraction from something much more inportant.

They're biased. The Palestinians are a pet cause of the left and no amount of reality is going to be allowed to stand in the way of felling sorry for them.

Besides - haven't you heard, it's been open season on Christians for some time now?!?

I think it's the whole 60s generation thing - once they (we!) die off some semblance of normality should return.

I'd say it is about time for Arab and Muslim victims to get some attention from the American media. America blindly protects and supports Israel while turning a blind eye to the pain they inflict on their neighbors. By the way, it's "Muslim" or "Moslem", not "Muslem", and 'Christian' and 'Sudan' should be capitalized.

1. all war is bad but there is an obvious media bias for these areas, no mention hardly of the terrorists hiding in these places.

But in general Isrea is not follow the new "rules of war" of not attacking civilian areas for any reason, this is why of course the US can not win a war any more for the new rules.

And Isreal happens to want to win a war, so they are fighting to win, and this is not popular with the Press

Because it is easy to get a story out from Lebanon and the middle east where it is very hard to get one out of the Sudan.

Why is the Mel Gibson story all over the news, but not Darfur?

Because that...is a bigger story.
