I use Tomy walk about and it is great. I put my baby to bed during the day and go and sit at the other end of my garden and can still hear him as though he is next to me. Mine was on offer at Toys r us I got it for 19.99 but I think that it is normally 39.99.
Shop around though for special offers don't just stick to one shop.

i have tomi and an angel care mat which i think is great. Im sure you can get a second hand angel care mat some where. Plus it gives you peace of mind while baby is sleeping and you can use it in a crib/moses basket and cot. This monitors your babies breathing and what the normal ones do. Why not go on a few websites that do baby monitors and see the pros and cons. Good luck

We use the Tomy digital walkabout and haven't had any problems with it. I think it was about £40, but I'm sure you can get it on special offer somehwere on the net.
