Ok, I am trying to decide what to wear on the first day of school... a really cute chocolate brown skirt (cotton and just above the knee) with a Pinkish shirt..... (or open to other suggestions for color)
OR
A really cute gray t-shirt with a blackish miniskirt (denim) and black leggings with lace on the bottom. And a long silver neclace (from kohls)

The leggings outfit sounds like a lot of drabby colors but it isn't when it is on. And if you don't like that.. then do you have any other ideas for a shirt color to go with chocolate brown??? And do you have any accessories in mind???
Thanx,,,, i appreciate all (serious) answers!!!!

I like the pink and chocolate outfit. I think it has been a really hot combo for the last year. Esp with cream accessories. Then it is kind of like Neapolitan ice cream colors.

I guess with the other outfit I just don't like the leggings with lace. Maybe if you nixed the leggings and added a scarf I would dig it.

In any case I try to go more classic for any first impression. Not to flirty not to reserved. You have more room to "maneuver" once you see what other people are wearing that way.

If you are over the top fashionista, and everyone else is prep, you will look like a ditz. Or on the other hand if you come in super posh and everyone else is very bohemian you could come off snobby... That is why classic is the way to go. You can wiggle towards the middle ground...

That is if you want to blend in. Other wise if you want to make a bold statement just make a bold statement.

Good luck, you'll look great!

Yes, and I am a true lover of browns. The first skirt sounds much cuter than the other outfit (no offense). The best colors to go with browns are other neutral colors, like beige, cream, sometimes even black works on top. I also think it would look great with a cream colored or beige poncho. Those colors always work well with brown. I know they sound boring, but wait till you wear them together. You will love the look. Make sure to add some flashy accessories, too. And a sexy hairstyle.

The 1st outfit is awesome but it would be even better if that shirt was teal and the skirt was chocolate. And with some shiny ballet flats. The 2nd outfit is good but make it really pop with a red bracelet or necklace.

I like the outfit with the brown skirt and pink top. An aqua shirt would also look really nice with the brown skirt

I LOVE LEGGINGS! Go with the second outfit. Just one thought I don't know what it looks like but do the black mini skirt and black leggings blend in together? You might want to go for gray leggings. But I'm sure it's cute!

I like the leggings outfit! CUTE! If you wear the pink and brown depending on the shirt you could probably layer it with white to give it more edge or something.Good luck!

Go with the 2nd outfit, and wear medium sized hoop earrings and some bracelets ( like 2 or 3 )
