I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse. The belly button itself has no significance. It has long since healed over. A baby usually gets this and it's called an umbilical hernia, the other one is hiatus, this is when part of the stomach gets trapped between a rib And an inguinal hernia is near the groin area.Men suffer with this more than women. I wouldn't worry about it, I've had 3 children and I now have 6 grandchildren and my daughter's never had this and I don't know of anyone who has. Your more likely to get a Hiatus Hernia if anything, but I wouldn't rule it out, but it's very very rare.
