I'd get some Formula 409, or some Fantastic to just clean the outside of the speakers...

buy a bottle of surgical spirit from any chemists. costs about £1.00 .
put a bit on a cloth + wipe. dont add water, + best to use a white cloth.
u can also use it to clean cd's, + is excellent on tv screens or any surfaces that attract static dust.
