whoever takes the time to actually figure this out... good for you. I'm better at simple math. This is pretty simple, but I don't want to have to look things up about tax just to answer this question. If it was for something that was actually important, I might take the time, but not for a game system and a game. Don't kids every play outside anymore?

Total money you have to pay = 400(system) + 60 + tax(game) + 100(clothes) - 20 (your father will pay) = 540 + tax.

You have = 530(now) + 30(will get in another 3 weeks) = 560.

So if tax is less than 20$, only then can you afford. Being an Asian I can't tell you the exact tax in your case. But i am sure that if you arrange 50 more dollars, you will be able to buy.

Also think about your expenses during the next 3 weeks. You need around 60 more dollars if you want everything easy. Or cut down a little on clothes, say buy only for 50$ now.

Money you have:

$530 (saved) + $20 (dad) + $10*3 (allowance) = $550 + $30 = $580.00

Items to buy:

[$400 (system) + $60 (game)] * 8.75% tax (Chicago - Cook) =

$460 * 1.0875 = $500.25 + $100 (for clothes) = $600.25

$580 - $600.25 = -$20.25

Conclusion:

You won't have enough money to buy your game right now, if you need to have $100 for clothes in 3 weeks. You will be short by $20.25 so you will have to wait 2 more weeks after you buy your clothes to save your allowance to buy the game. Also, please note that I assumed that tax was included in the $100.00 for clothes (or no tax). If tax is not included, then you have to add $8.75 and you will be short $29.00 which means you'll have to wait 3 weeks after you buy your clothes (6 weeks from now).

Good luck!

No; u don't have the amount needed, especially if there's too much tax.
530-(400+60+tax) = (70+tax)
(70 + tax)+ (3* 10) = 100
100-100 = 0
So, u'll have no money left after u buy ur clothes and not enough money if there's tax.
