Hot temperature causes gasoline to emit more gas. Since it is less hot during nights, there would be less gas emitted to the atmosphere, which is better for the environment.

Supposedly the gas is cooler at night because of simple expansion caused by heat in the daytime. The problem with this is that the tanks are buried underground which acts as an insulator. So in theory the best time would be shortly after the sun comes out and the ground temperature begins to increase. The idea is that you get more gasoline that way but the difference is trivial.

Cooler temperatures will make the gas evaporate slower, so you would get a little more gas. If you pump at 12:00 when it's 100 degrees, the gas would be warmer than if you pump at 9:00p.m. when it's 60 degrees...

The theory is that cool air is denser, thereby the fuel vapors are not as prone to escape while refueling. This, if done by everyone would reduce the particulates in the air by several hundred tons.

It is better to pump gas at night becuz there are less people at the pump, therefore easier to get gas :) Yes you are right.
