I had 2 C-sections and they both were different. the first one was just a couple of day s and i could go back to normal activities, the second one took several weeks. But if you have questions on that speak with your doctor they should be able to tell you an estimate. But every one is different, and it you have the choice go natural child birth ( you can still use the meds) you will heal alot faster. Most hospitals will keep you 3 or 4 days after a c-section but just a few hours after natural.

My cousin just had a c-section on May 26th the doctor didn't let her go back to work until August 1st but my sister had one and she was ok after 4 weeks so I think everyone is different your doctor should have given you that kind of information. If you don't know you should really look into a new doctor.

It took me a month to heal completely. I was up and walking the same day though, mainly because my son was in the NICU. I climbed stairs after 2 days, and moved from the couch to a waterbed after a week.

I couldn't wear "tight" underwear for about two months though. And pooping really hurt for the first few weeks.

The younger you are, the faster you will heal.

8-12 weeks if there were no complications before.
full year and sometimes more to feel like your old self again though if you are into fitness.

it helps to find out through your Dr. if you are experiencing depression. some women do not realize they are until 5 years later when they finally work it all out on their own. Don't wait. Ask and take some meds if you want to...it all goes toward being a mentally, emotionally, and physically healthy person for that baby and handling that hubby too.

About 6 weeks you should be just about back to normal. It really isn't that painful. just get out of bed ASAP ans that will help. If your incision is bleeding or oozing keep it clean and dry and rest more you are doing too much!
