Of course if everyone who has an idea actually wrote a book the shelves would be full of even more junk. However maybe some of those people actually have a great idea or knowledge that can make a difference in the world. Where do writers go to gain confidence and know how. I am thinking of books or conferences or schools that have a

I think the biggest help would be to have other writers for encouragement. And a supportive family. I have a supportive husband, but no one else who shares the interest in actually writing to talk to when I am having trouble focusing or start to get a little down on my abilities. It is so much harder to write then it first seems to be!

You are absolutely right. Like me, I have a great idea for a Horror/Mystery story and I only gotten as far as the title.

But, some people have great idea's and never do them because they are often too busy or maybe trying to think of events or names that could be put in the book.

But, it doesn't take one day to finish a book. It often takes two years.
Authors (in between time) add a paragraph or so maybe a chapter. Besides, what good would a book be if you rushed in to it? Not all people finish what they start.

Yeah, people who actually have some knowledge could put their thoughts into a book so the whole world can see, but whoever said they wanted to write a book?

That could rely on whether or not you are Catholic or Protestant. To us Catholics, the Bible is without doubt one of the methods that God has discovered Himself, together with Sacred Tradition and the lessons of the Church. Sacred Tradition and church instructing does now not (and certainly are not able to) cross in opposition to what the Bible teaches, however neither do they depend entirely on what has been written in Scripture. In that feel, the Word is dynamic -- ever dwelling and ever revealing extra approximately Himself to us. Protestants commonly suppose in "Sola Scriptura," or "via Scripture on my own." Despite having a historical past of conventional worship types (borrowed extensively from Catholicism), the Protestant church claims to be wholly elegant at the Bible for revelation of reality. This could be great. . .besides there does not look to be a lot consensus approximately what that exposed "reality" rather is. For instance, one denomination might suppose that Communion is a realistic memorial provider, whilst a further organization believes that it's actually the Body and Blood of Jesus after the factors are consecrated. And when you consider that there are such a large amount of translations of the Bible, one church might insist that the KJV is the one appropriate variation, whilst any individual else will say that the NIV is the fine translation. The backside line is that Catholic Christianity is a faith of the dwelling and holy Word, Who is Jesus Christ. Protestant Christianity might deny it, however all too on the whole, they're a faith of the e-book. . .in the event that they would handiest agree on which variation and what it says.

It's harder to write a book than most people think. I know-I started one and, ten years later, I'm still working on it.
