OH G-D YES!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sometimes it's unbearable! Carry around tums if you are pregnant!!!!!! It's safe and it has calcium!

And to prove it..............read this article from babycenter.com. BUT, just because SOME women did NOT have hb does not mean it is not a symptom. If you research symptoms of pregnancy, hb is one. Maybe called side effect, but you still can develop it during preg.
HTH.

Not sure if this will help or not.. but I was the same way. I NEVER had heartburn in my entire life. But during my pregnancy, I had it constantly. I was never seen without a pack of Tums. So I don't necessarily know if it could be a SIGN of pregnancy, but for me it was SYMPTOM of the pregnancy. =) And you should read the side effect warnings with your antibiotic and see if heartburn could be a side effect. Also - call your doctor to find out if it's normal for that medication to cause heartburn, and it wouldn't hurt to grab a home pregnancy test if you're that worried. =) Isaiah is due 12/13/08... lol .. sign of a lot of hair? =) I had HORRIBLE heart burn and my son came out bald as good be =) Well.. he actually had a little "Alf-Alfa" patch on the top of his head that stood straight up. But other than that... bald bald bald. haha - he actually didn't start getting hair until he was about 10 -11 months old. =)

It definitely is. I have had terrible heartburn with all three of my pregnancies.. my Dr. said I can take gaviscon, but you'd better check with your dr. what is safe for the baby. Don't listen to the people who say it's not a symptom.. they have no clue. I often can't sleep because it's so bad.

The funny thing is that it goes away the same night you deliver the baby.. I'm really looking forward to when I'm free from that again!

It happens because your baby pushes your stomach acid up, there is less room for all your organs because of the baby.

It can be. I never had heartburn until I was pregnant with my first. I notice it before I had even missed my period. Then it got really bad later in the pregnancy.

Um it's not a sign that you're pregnant because it usually happens awhile into pregnancy it's not one of the first symptoms. But it is part of pregnancy.

I'd say it's a side effect of pregnancy but not necessarily a sign that you are pregnant such as nausea, sore breasts, having to pee often.

No... but it happens later on in a pregnancy. Usually because the baby is squishing your organs around as they grow... I got it so bad during my 7+ months.

It does happen when you are pregnant. I never really experienced heart burn before, once i got pregnant, i was like "whats wrong with me?". then when i found out it was heart burn, i was shocked because i thought it was suppose to be in the heart.lol. Anyways, take tums girl.
