I recommend either Charter or Comcast. Go to their website to check if they service your area. There is nothing faster than Cable unless you want an expensive T3 connection. It is best to get cable instead of DSL.

Go to http://www.comcast.com or http://www.charter.com and check availability.

Then get yourself a wireless router and you can hook up your dell to the router. Getting national access such as Verizon is VERY expensive. Cable is approximately $40 these days per month, but nation access is almost $60 per month. However, wifi nation wide internet access is not very reliable. My cousin has Verizon nationwide access and he complains all the time how slow his connection is.

I recommend getting Cable and then hooking it up to a wireless router. It will save you money in the long run.

Whatever you do, DO NOT GO FOR AOL. I know Dell has a bundled AOL offer with some laptops but AOL is basically rubbish. BT is a good one if you don't want to spend time and hassle changing/installing a new line.
