There's a bad thunderstorm here right now and I just thought I'd ask how many of you enjoy thunderstorms? I love them and I have no idea why. Give reasons to your answer! Thanks.

I absolutely LOVE thunderstorms, it is actually my favorite kind of wheather....messed up isnt that?
It is just the feeling of being so close to something so powerful and actually - right in the middle of something so powerful....there is some sort of feeling of excitement inside. Makes me feel not only challenged, but paid attention to, and also a faint feeling of safety...lots of things. It is a very strange phenomenon that goes on inside me...
I like tornadoes too!..love 'em!

I love the feel of the wind as it kicks up right before the rain starts. I revel at the flash of lightning and the boom of the thunder. I clock every bolt I can to see just how far it is away from me. I don't know which I like more cloud to cloud that stretches for miles or the really close one that you hear the boom before the image of the flash fades from your eyes.
There is nothing like a massive thunderstorm with everything it contains to remind you just how puny and insignifigant you really are. It will keep you humble.
I came from the flatlands of Arkansas you can watch a really good one coming from over fifty miles away. I live in the hills now so I can't see as far. But then I don't have to put up with mosquitos where I am.*LOL*

Thunderstorms rock. Just the flashes and the sounds of the thunder. Not to mention the rain has a sort of calming effect.

I love them as well.....I use to be a meteorology major, and I've taken some classes pertaining to weather so I can tell for the most part what the weather is going to do looking at clouds, so I enjoy watching the sky and trying to predict when the severe stuff is going to come :)

I love thunderstorms because they got my blood pumping! They're exciting (as long as they don't spawn tornadoes). I love to see the lightning flash and hear the thunder rumble!

Free fireworks and the air is so much cleaner after. Seems like you can breathe again.

I love thunderstorma..;everything about them, the power they unleash, the clean fresh air that seems to come with them...the colour of the sky...everything.
