Tell her to read it for HERSELF and THEN decide. She shouldn't just rely on your sister's input.

Ask her to pre read the book and make her decision. You can also go to Amazon.com and look up the book the reviews may tell you what age it is for. Also many books on the page that has the copyright and ISBN number will have something that says RL and then a number this stands for Reading Level check the book and see if it was intended for your reading level.

Yes it is, but your mother shouldn't listen to your sister. It should be the other way around. Tell your mother to read it for herself and see and if she says no, 2 options (if your a naughty girl), 1. Try sneaking it in your room and reading but cover the cover with another book and then return it every once in a while do it until you finish reading the book. 2. Ask to borrow it from friends, neighbors, library etc..... until your finished reading the book.

Geez! I LOVE those books!! They are the best. I think you should just tell your mom to read it and not rely on your sister's influence. I first red it when I was like 11 or 12. And im 13 now. I think there appropriete. But if she says no then just go to the library and get it. She wont ever know lol.

I haven't read the books, but... maybe you should ask your mom to read the whole book and decide if she still feels the same. Sometimes parts of a book can seem inappropriate if you don't understand the relevance to the story. It's worth a shot, if she doesn't change her mind, please respect her decision and try to find another series to start reading. Good luck.

That series is not only appropriate for your age; it's aimed at girls your age! There is nothing in those books that will corrupt your innocence. Approach your sister & mother in a mature fashion & state your case. See if they can find even one thing that is too 'much' for you to read.

The ONLY reason is because your sister told your mom??? When did your sister become the parent??? Calm down and go talk to you mom, maybe if she checks the book out herself, she might realize that sis is overreacting - or being mean.

Definatley...they were written for that age group...if you want to prove to her, a lot of books have an age recommendation in the very front-on the page with copyright-you could show that to her if this particular book has it.
