I really think this question ought to be ask in the education area. But no as long as you have a monopoly on the education system that we have now days with the public education system an a strong teacher union to keep any change from happening then like it or not some child will be left behind. Bush bless his heart has tried threw school vouchers and really does care about having real equal opportunity education for every child.

With the Dictator Dumbya Coup, no child's behind is left... (to learn creatively, to think critically, to question authority)... except for the children of the ruling class.

Mr. Bush wants every child to be literate by 2012 as well as know basic math. It is unrealistic and extremely hard on teachers who can loose their jobs because of low test scores. They expect students with LD's to perform the same as those with out which is unrealistic because we modify work in the classroom so that they can do it. We modify because the IDEA (individuals with disabilities education act) requires plans that help them succeed which in many cases means they are not working at their grade level.

Actually all the children are being left behind. The outstanding achievers are being dragged backwards, and the slow learners are being pushed forward. The end result is mediocrity.

None of my children are because I take responsibility for them. It's a damn shame that some other parents don't. ITS NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THIS GOVERNMENT!
