This is writen on a plaque at the entrance to a very old house ?

Beit- means house in arabic
Zein is the name of person.

In Gulf zain means beautiful/good

Beit, or also Bait, is referred to as House, while Zein probably is a name of the builder or first owner. So literally it means House (of) Zein

Here is a link to both a picture and article about the house in Bangalore, India with this inscription on the door. The article makes reference to the fact that the current owner of the house has not been able to find the meaning of the words. The house was built in 1923 and occupied by a german family and the words are in the german language.

I cannot find a translation for either word, even after consulting my copy of "Heath's German Dictionary", copyrighted and published in 1906. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
