Use the connector cord (should come with your iPod) and attach the iPod to your USB port. Then insert the iTunes CD into the disc drive (it came with your iPod as well). Then go to My Computer, click the iTunes icon, and go through the setup process. You can then go to the iTunes music store to get your music, or you can put music CDs into your disc drive and upload the music onto iTunes; where you just drag it onto your iPod.

You need a USB cord that fits your ipod. And you need ITunes. You hook up the USB cord to the port in your computer and it will show up on itunes. Drag all the songs you want on your ipod to the folder it created for your ipod.
