If the ultrasound says you are 22 weeks then most likely you are, ultrasounds are more accurate measuring fetal age than the little round like calculator thing from the Doc's office.

good luck and God bless!

It depends on how far off they are.

In my case, the dr. gave me a due date based on my last period, then changed it by only three days after the ultrasound. And sometimes, the baby is slightly larger or smaller than what's considered 'normal', too. The earlier, week-wise, the ultrasound is, the more accurately the doctor can say exactly how far along the baby is.

Also, calculating based on your period os based on the assumption that you ovulated mid-cycle. If in this case, you ovulated early or late, that will affect when you conceived.

Most likely yes, you would be 22 weeks, however, a baby may not be growing as fast as other babies so there is a chance you are further along or not as far along, but it would be within a week of the 22 weeks.

Congratulations

You got pregnant the day that you had sex. If you don't know the exact day then it will be hard to determine exact date of arrival.
Also, even when I knew the exact dates on my children's conceptions they didn't always measure to the specified measurements doctors give and they didn't always come on the exact dates either. Some were just tinier than others and they were all health so don't worry.

Some babies measure ahead or behind of where you are, pregnancy-wise. If you're sure of the date of your last period, odds are your calculated due date is closer than the measured age by sono. I'd only worry if they're drastically different.

According to Toni Weschler, she states that most doctors are wrong when giving the date of conception...I recommend charting properly and the only way to do that is to get this book...I know four people that have babies now thanks to Toni...
