Depends on your elevation above ground. The higher you go, the farther away from your position the horizon will be. One reason aviators fly at higher altitudes when using radios with line of sight capabilities is to increase the range to the horizon where the line of sight transmissions would be blocked by that horizon.

theoretically, the horizon is the line where the earth and the sky meet, but they dont really meet , so there is no way to calculate how far away the horizon is from me or you or anyone else for that matter, you just go round and round.

If there are no hills or mountains near you then you can only see 12 miles into the distance (if you aren't on a hill) so if that is the case the horizon is 12 miles away.

The higher you sit, the further you can look.
h = height and d = distance. r = radius of the earth
All in one and the same unit. Then d = root(2rh)
Draw a tangent to the horizon and Pythagoras theorem:
(r+h)^2 = r^2 + d^2. Mind that h << 2r
Then d = root(2rh)

The distance from you to the horizonis called line-of-sight. On level ground or across water the horrizon is approximately 30 miles. This is a scientific fact because of the curvature of the earth.

I think that's a biology question because the horizon is as far as your eyes can see 20miles at a guess

Depends on your altitude, where you are on the earths surface (because the earth isn't completey round) and your own height.
