I've seen people who are sad all the time. They appear to choose sadness over joy and will find a reason to feel sad where none should exist. I call it the Eeyore syndrome. Oh woe is me.
It is possible to have a constant sense of joy. It transcends the ignorance is bliss stage, travels through the ups and downs of physical/emotional life existence then proceeds into a state of detached attachment. That seems paradoxical huh? When one is detached, they have realized the transitory nature of physical/emotional occurrences and are capable of remaining focused on something higher and or more permanence. They are attached to the joy of creation and manifestation and the joys of watching the world grow up.

Nope as you will not be alive all the time - you can be sad or happy your whole waking life but you can't be sad or happy before you are born. Also when you are asleep you don't really control your emotions.

sad and happy two words of opposite meanings but have the same answer. life is what u make out of it . u decide where u want to be everyday. and only u. remember its a chain reaction. me id rather send out a positive message trying to stay happy . a good attitude goes along way. nobody wants to spread depression. what do you think ?

Being happy or sad means the opposite will take hold after the peak of either

If you're totally depressed, then yes. To be happy all the time does not exist. There's always problems in the way, but you can make yourself not let those problems ruin you, and you will be happy.

it is possible to be sad all the time if you are not striving to feel out within yourself the cause of the sadness and thus find the cure
it may be caused by your wanting to be in the rodeo, or wanting to find a spiritual master who can reveal god to you -
pursue your happiness with energy, with dedication, with determination, with patience, with everything youve got or can borrow [advice etc]

no, i don't think so, no one can be sad or happy all the time, if he/she is not mentally ill. if it would be possible then the life would be very boring. i think you can say i live, when you feel the world, and when you can laugh, smile, cry, weep, angry and so on. that's the mean of life :))))))))))

No to both. Because it's the little things in life that make us switch from one to another despite ourselves.
