Practice speaking more slowly. The first step toward solving a problem is to recognize that it exists.

Being an instructor myself, I tend to go fast once in a while and loose my students. The only suggestion I can give you is to consentrate on what your topic is and to force yourself to slow your speech, but not overly so because that will give the effect of being condensending or loosing your audiences attn.
The only other suggestion I can make is to take a speech class.

Sure motormouth! Stop talking! Put a sock in it! Come to a COMPLETE stop! Think as the cop explains to the guy who 'slowed' for the 'stop' sign...."If I started to beat you & you hollored 'stop', would you want me to just 'slow' down" [beating you]???? Think long & hard before you open yer piehole. Then think again before you regergitate your thoughts. Capitolize your 'I's when refering to yersef, too! Practice makes perfect. STOP! NOW! And only start when you 'know' you are on 'slow'! It will be easy if you are conscientieously THOUGHFUL instead of mouthful!

Apparently, not only you speak too fast, you also can't spell correctly! No wonder people don't understand you!

i do the same thing, without realizing it. i've learned to take unspoken cues from my listeners and when i start get the "wtf? face" as i call it, i consciously talk slower. it's a problem at work on the phone, so i tell myself to relax before i start talking on there. stay off of caffeine, that helps, too.
