This is something we should have been paying attention to decades ago. But we've let ourselves get caught up in man's own devil creations of technology and war, and now to look back and ask if we did something wrong,is obvious. of course there will always be people that know what they should or can be doing to make the world a better place, starting with the environment, or themselves. but to look at the whole world and say, how could it all be better, is impossible. if the world had developed good habits decades ago, this would be a non issue. but now to reform our society for the better of the earth, which could once be a steady process of leadership, has turned into something that will be a slow process, and take generations of renewing old methods on every level before anyone can be satisfyed with what the earth has evolved into.

An ordinary answer to a question like this is "Peace" It seems like that is a the answer given when contestants are asked such a question in the Miss America/Universe pageants. I think if everybody would respect his/her fellow man the world would be a better place. We are all different in many, many ways..race, color creed, income, status, etc. and to put these differences aside-treat others as equals, would make for a better place. Treat others as you want to be treated "Do unto others..."We may follow a different "beat" but that doesn't mean we have to fight over it.

I hate to say this because I believe in God. But I don't believe in this big religious organizations who forment war.
They should be done away with. Because like the Muslims they tell Christians that this is the only way those people are wrong.
If they didn't think that 70 virgins waited for them in heaven would they be so anxious to strap on a bomb?
Christians are told we are doing Gods will and you will go straight to heaven. They faught so hard to have the Ten Commamdments put on the court house lawn. Beside it was a plague we support our troups. It said tho shalt not kill
Isn't war killing people? I know I am just a stupid kid.
But don't grownups see that? Which is it? Does God want us to kill or doesn't he?

Education and psychological healing.
We now know so much more than we have ever known before about what damages us, what effects this has, and how to enable people to heal.
The vast majority of suffering is human-caused and avoidable, but this is a world of the walking wounded, wherein too many people have been mangled and so are confused, and too steeped in their own misery to really make things better.
If the young were educated, they would learn about these things, and could more rationally set about solving our problems.
I believe this is happening, but way too slowly. Schools that empower students' minds, rather than crush them by speeding through mounds of trivia and having students parrot what is unintelligible to them, would enable students to learn how to think clearly and how to assess and apply what they learn.
If we can shift schools so that they focus on student's using their minds to grasp the basics in every subject, and develop a true respect for reason and evidence, and confidence in the powers of their own minds to learn what they need and figure things out, I firmly believe we could turn this rig around.
This is why I seek employment in educational reform. You might ask yourself if you could get a job in a field that allows you to contribute to making things better -- assuming you don't already have one.
There are lots of things that people are doing to both prevent manglement and to help the mangled heal. They need all the help they can get.
Thank you for this opportunity to hop on my favorite soap box.

The second coming IS going to happen but until then we could make this world better by returning to a simpler way of life.
Family, friends, food and fellowship instead of materialism and capitalism and violence and shocking media exploits.
We need to return to the things in life that are really lasting and meaningful and reject the frivolous tangible "rewards" so many covet.

Lots of love beginning with me and you. Not money but love is the answer. There is no one who can stop you from going out into the world every day and showing some love to somebody. Churches spend so much money sending people all over the world to win the lost. All I have to do is get on a bus. There are plenty of people right around me who need love. Love comes first and then prayer. It starts with prayer and love. Then come the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit. They are still available to those who are ready to get serious with God. They are the true evangelism tools. That's what Jesus used. He didn't go door to door asking people to join a church. He demonstrated power and showed love. This planet needs love!

I like the answers on too many people jews and arabs use religion as a crutch to kill . Rap music is also bad obviously. I don't mind arab men the women do not need to dress like terrorists. If I wore a Nazi uniform and walked around the Jews They would take offense. The arabs don't care who they offend. Otherwise they would not dress like terrorists. Very selfish of them. The u.s. has low moral principals also. That is why I like Austria. Remember Sound of Music. Manners!

Getting rid of the virus we have come to call the 'human animal' would go a long way to making this planet a better place for the innocent animals that have to suffer our arrogances.

No hate or miscommunications. that would lead to no war. Without war, the whole world would be able to work together to help each other and get rid of poverty and hunger. Then the world would be at least an ok place.

What would make this world a better place is if everyone dropped their grudges and just comprise. But that's not ever going to happen, because some people are just stubborn, filled with pride and is very hard to break.
