I was stung several times by fire ants, and the sting places look like zits, why is that I wonder?

I'm not sure either, but fire ants are really strong ants compared to other species of ants. They have a venom that irritates the skin, and for some people who are allergic to the venom, it requires emergency treatment. I listed the sites below that can tell you more about them.

ouch... those boogers hurt. it's the poison they inject, the body is trying to isolate the poison and protect you, so it forms a blister.

get some adolph's meat tenderizer, mix it with water to form a paste and put on there. the papain in the adolph's will neutralize the proteins. i've used it for years on any kind of bug bite, like mosquitos, biting flies, bees, etc. but get UNSEASONED! you don't want to put pepper on a wound.
